Cheese Grits
Alton Brown
- 1 c white quick grits
- 2 c whole milk
- 2 c water
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese
Bring milk, water and salt to a boil. Whisk in grits. Heat over medium heat for 30 minutes. Add butter and cheese. Cook for about 10 minutes more or until grits are tender and thick. Serve immediately.
Yield: 4 servings
