Chicken Squares

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 1/2 c shredded chicken
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried chives
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • salt
  • 1 can of crescent rolls
  • melted butter
  • bread crumbs

Heat oven to 350°F.

In medium bowl, mix cream cheese and softened butter; beat until smooth. Add milk and beat again. Add chicken, chives and salt to taste; mix well.

Separate dough into 4 rectangles, firmly press perforations to seal. Stretch out a little bit on all sides. Spoon a quarter of the chicken mixture onto one half of each rectangle. Pull half the rectangle over the filling and crimp with fork. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush tops with melted butter; sprinkle with bread crumbs.

Bake about 15-17 minutes or until golden brown on top.
