Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Old recipe card-Hullinger

CRUST:

  • 2 c crushed pretzels
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 c butter (1 1/2 sticks)

MIDDLE:

  • 1 c sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 8 oz cool whip

TOP:

  • 6 oz strawberry jello
  • 2 c boiling water
  • 16 oz frozen sliced strawberries

For CRUST: melt butter; add sugar and pretzels. Press into 9x13 pan and bake at 350 5-10 min. Cool.

For MIDDLE: mix with mixer until smooth and spread on cooled crust

For TOP: mix together and chill until just about firm. Pour over the first two steps.

Note: Should not be made too far in advance.
