White Batter Bread

  • 1 c warm milk (105-110)
  • 1 1/8 tsp yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 c flour

Whisk yeast into warmed milk and set aside for five minutes. Whisk together yeast mixture, sugar, salt, and butter. Beat in flour to make a smooth batter. Pour batter into a 9x5x3 inch loaf plan. Cover with towel or plastic wrap. Let rise for one hour. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place bread in oven; reduce temperature to 375. Bake for 30 minutes.
