Slow-Cooker Barbecued Pork

Pulled Pork

  • 1 pork shoulder (5-7 lb)
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 c liquid smoke
  • 1 can of coke
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper

NC barbecue sauce

  • 1/2 c apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp worcestershire
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • pinch of salt

Mix together barbecue sauce, liquid smoke, coke, salt and pepper. Set pork in slow-cooker, then add sauce mixture. Set slow-cooker on low heat and cook for 8-10 hours.

Pull the pork and add NC barbecue sauce to taste.

Note: Boston butt can be used in place of shoulder
