Saltine Toffee

The Girl Who Ate Everything

  • saltine crackers
  • 1 c butter
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 package heath toffee bits

Lay saltine crackers in a single layer on cookie sheet with sides (about 1 1/3 sleeves). Melt butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Let boil for 3 minutes. Pour over saltine crackers. Bake at 400 for 5 minutes. Take out of oven and readjust saltine crackers to single layer if they've moved on top of each other. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips in an even layer over crackers. Let sit for 5 minutes. Spread melted chocolate chips evenly over crackers. Sprinkle with toffee pieces. Let sit in fridge for about 30 minutes or until chocolate is hardened. Break into pieces.
