Lofthouse Sugar Cookies

  • 3 c Cake flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 c Butter, softened
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Sour cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

In a medium bowl, whisk together first three ingredients. Set aside. 

In the bowl of a Kitchen Aid, beat together butter and sugar with the paddle attachment until light and fluffy. 

Add in eggs one at a time and beat gently just until combined. Mix in sour cream and vanilla until combined. Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined. 

Chill dough in the fridge for at least one hour. 

Preheat oven to 350. 

Shape about 3 tbs. of dough at a time into a ball. Place on baking sheet and flatten until about 1/2 inch thick. 

Dough should be at least 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes. 

Cool on wire rack. Frost.
