Apple Crisp

Topping

  • 1 1/2 c Flour
  • 3/4 c White sugar
  • 3/4 c Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 c Oats
  • 2 Sticks of butter, cold

Apples

  • 3 lb Granny smith apples
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/4 c White sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg

For topping: Place all ingredients in kitchen aid mixer. Add paddle attachment. Turn mixer onto medium-low speed and let mix until butter is all cut up and mixture is crumbly.

For apples: peel apples and slice into thin wedges. Place in 13x9 inch ungreased casserole dish. Sprinkle with the juice from lemon. Toss to coat. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg over apples. Toss to coat evenly.

Sprinkle crumble topping over apples. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes to an hour until apples are tender.

Serve warm with ice cream.
